LCT MiniCup Championship Rules
The Lights, Camera, Traction! (LCT) MiniCup Championship series at Auburndale Speedway is a driver development class. This class is committed to helping young drivers develop a solid foundation for their racing careers.
This championship series allows anyone under 22 years of age to compete as a LCT Champ driver. Drivers over 22 can apply to run as a non-competitive LCT Mentor driver. All drivers new to MiniCup racing at Auburndale Speedway are required to contact Lights, Camera, Traction! at [email protected], or at 800.210.2995 prior to participation in their first race. No exceptions will be permitted.
Any MiniCup driver who has not previously competed at Auburndale Speedway must be cleared by the track’s race director prior to their first race. It is the responsibility of all new MiniCup drivers to report to the race director personally (no crew members), prior to their first race.
All drivers will be required to demonstrate consistency, predictability and comparative lap times to the satisfaction of the race director. Any driver unable to demonstrate these skills will be required to start at the rear of the field (including re-starts). The race director may also require additional driver training before a new competitor is cleared for competition. All novice drivers (as determined by the race director) are required to mark the rear bumper of their car with a yellow stripe of two (2) inches (black stripe for yellow bumpers).
